Irrational fears: a list

Irrational fears (as opposed to rational ones) are those which are unfounded, or do not have a good enough reason to back them up. It is said that such fears prevent one from truly living life. Josephine Anwhistle had countless such fears, a few of which have been listed here, with some of her own explanations, for observation:

1. The radiator (it might explode)
3. The welcome mat (someone could trip on it and break his/her neck)
4. The sofa in the living room (it could fall and crush someone flat)
5. The telephone (it could cause electrocution)
6. The doorknob (it could shatter into a million pieces, one of them hitting an eye)
7. The stove (it might burst into flames)
8. Of having children (precise reason unknown)
9. Realtors (precise reason unknown)
10. Automobiles (the doors might get stuck, leaving her trapped inside)
